Transcripts of Proceedings

All General Division Transcript Requests are made to the Court Administration Office of Common Pleas Court using the Transcript Request form provided. The form can be completed online and emailed directly, printed off and faxed or mailed, or it can be obtained and completed in person at the Court Administration Office. If sent by regular mail, please account for the days it may take for our office to receive your request when choosing a requested completion date.

For an indigent defendant whose case is being appealed by court-appointed counsel, the standard requested completion date is thirty (30) days from the date the request is made. An Affidavit of Indigency must be filed in the official case file in the Butler County Clerk of Courts Office. The Court does not provide transcripts on an expedited basis for these requests.

To request a transcript on a civil case, or for a private party request, the requesting party will be contacted by eScribers with cost and/or deposit information after your Transcript Request is processed by the Court Administration Office. The requesting party will deal directly with eScribers regarding payment.

Requested completion dates less than fifteen (15) days from date of request will be charged at an expedited rate of $7.00 per page. Requested completion dates of fifteen (15) days or more will be charged at a normal rate of $4.00 per page.

An audio recording (CD) may be requested using the same Transcript Request form submission process, but you must indicate on the form that you are requesting AUDIO ONLY. There is no charge for an audio CD, but it must be picked up from the Court Administration Office. We will not mail it to the requesting party.

The Transcript Request form must be completed in its entirety. Please be specific when listing dates and types of hearings. Case information, including dates and types of hearings, can be accessed via the Butler County Clerk of Courts Record Search.
