The Butler County Department of Court Services, General Supervision is responsible for the supervision of offenders when the Court orders the least restrictive form of supervision to both rehabilitate the offender and protect the community.

Offenders being supervised under General Supervision may be any of the following: Intervention In Lieu of Conviction, Misdemeanor, Felony supervision up to five (5) years, Inter/Intrastate Compact, or Butler County Juvenile Court adult offenders.

The General Supervision Division also includes supervision over two specialized dockets: Court-Directed Addiction Treatment (CDAT) aka Drug Court and Substance Abuse Mental Illness (SAMI).
